Greater efficiency in transport

Brivio & Viganò is taking part in Project 18, supported by ANFIA, the National Association of the Automobile Industry Supply Chain, an experimental three-year programme in the national territory, using 18-metres articulated trucks, with a 36-europallet loading capacity, that almost coincides with the quantity that can be transported by a tractor trailer.

The main aims of this venture are the collection of data for documenting on the field the advantages from the use of combinations of circa 18 metres rather than standard models in order to certify the economic advantages of these in terms of the reduction in the average cost per unit of goods transported, the compatibility with current road infrastructure, as well as manoeuvrability and road safety in the event of overtaking other vehicles.
